Account Executive

Spaces Group is a full-service commercial furniture dealership and a Certified MillerKnoll dealer. Based in Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS, we work with clients in all sectors across the United States. Position Summary

The Account Executive is a highly motivated, knowledgeable and experienced professional seller who will represent Spaces Group’s commitment to service at every level with customers, end-users, the A&D community and industry partners. The successful candidate has a documented track record of high-volume revenue generation in the business-to-business marketplace via sales prospecting, lead qualification, relationship building and networking. Attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn new products, systems and programs will be key to success in this role. This position is based at our showroom in Memphis, TN and reports to the President.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Lead Generation

  • Network extensively for leads through established contacts, business groups, real estate brokers, A&D community, industry organizations and other lead sources
  • Identify and Qualify New Business Opportunities that fit within Spaces Group’s target market of customers
  • Nurture the long-term potential of existing accounts in developing and high-growth industries
  • Understand key market segments, leverage a consultative sales approach, and demonstrate market knowledge to win new business

Sales Implementation

  • Build trust, credibility, and nurture collaborative relationships with key buying influencers
  • Lead diagnostic meetings to determine needs, buying motivation, and purchase criteria
  • Develop detailed, accurate and professional quotes and present these to the customer promptly
  • Work across departments with Spaces Team members in design, project management, installation, and accounting to ensure that projects are specified, ordered, installed and invoiced with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Maintain constant contact with customers and their representatives through the sales process by providing strong project leadership to ensure that the project, product and service commitments exceed customer expectations
  • Respond swiftly to customer inquiries, requests for information and/or quotations and problem resolution

Goals + Performance

  • Prepare annual Sales Plans for each major existing account and identify key prospect accounts/projects
  • Set and meet quarterly and annual sales and margin goals as determined by sales management
  • Provide timely reports on sales forecasts and new leads as required
  • Document leads, wins and losses in company software Professional Development
  • Maintain detailed understanding of company’s product lines—product features, application, technical capabilities, specifications and resources
  • Mastery of industry software
  • Actively participate in sales training, online continued product training, continuing education, networking events, and sales and company meetings
  • Engage with the MillerKnoll resources and partner with open line manufacturing representatives

Requirement

  • 5+ years of business to business outside sales experience required
  • Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to read architectural documents required
  • Dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment at multiple levels
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
